David Lee

Fyremind is a passion project led by David Lee, a seasoned SaaS executive with over 20 years of product leadership experience at companies like Box, RingCentral, and Salesforce. After decades in enterprise software, David was inspired to launch Fyremind to address two generational needs within his own family: those of his young sons and his aging parents.

While helping his children with multiplication table drills using paper flashcards, David was surprised by the quality of equivlaent apps. Most of them exhibited bad UX, and (surprisingly) little tracking of a learner’s performance. So he wrote a simple math flashcard app that can diagnose a user’s abilities, levels up or down accordingly, and track the user’s progress.

At the same time, David noticed his aging parents frequently inquiring about the latest ‘brain-teaser’ apps. Recognizing a desire among adults to maintain their mental acuity, he was disappointed that most existing products resembled games disguised as “brain training” tools. This prompted him to combine these ideas into a product tailored for adults aged 40 and up, ensuring their cognitive abilities receive regular workouts through real-life challenges like calculating tips and converting temperatures, rather than simplistic, game-based activities.

Fyremind is yours; its user community makes it work. We want to hear feedback and suggestions, from the details (bug fixes, typos) to the macro ("I need a card for [fill in the blank]"). Use our feedback form and let us know what you think. Happy Learning!
